USSC’s offerings include youth and adult camps in baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, crew, cricket, esports, field hockey, football, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, pickleball, rugby, running, soccer, softball, swimming, volleyball & water polo.

Job Overview: USSC is seeking an experienced Manager to lead sports camp operations and customer support initiatives for a select group of sports (TBD based on the candidate’s experience and available positions internally). The ideal candidate is energetic and motivated, and possesses excellent management, customer service, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills. They exude professionalism and positivity, are highly organized, detail-oriented, efficient and well-versed in the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe applications. Proficient verbal, written, and computer skills are a must. This person will be responsible for prepping, planning, and ensuring the division provides the highest quality of operational support for Camp Directors and excellent customer service to camper families in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires organization, resourcefulness, incredible customer service, total follow-through, and most importantly, an understanding of what has made US Sports Camps successful for the past 47 years: a full commitment to servicing our coaches and customers with an unwavering passion for youth athletic and personal development. This is a full-time role located at the US Sports Camps Headquarters in San Rafael, CA (hybrid and remote work options may be possible). The start date for this position will be around November 1-15, 2022.

The Job:

  • Help with onboarding, training, and managing division’s operations and customer service employees  
  • Handle high level customer service issues and some general customer service phone support
  • Lead and help manage division in administrative/operational project planning and execution - Updating webpages, adding camps to registration system, executing email campaigns, inputting camp details into digital, social, and print marketing assets, creating parent Information Packets, writing press releases and sport tips, etc. 
  • Lead and help manage division in execution of division’s digital, social and print marketing projects
  • Communicate frequently with Camp Directors for pre and post camp administrative and customer service support
  • Assist the Sport Manager in product ordering and shipping to camp locations
  • Assist the Sport Manager in drafting director contracts

  • An understanding of team management, and proven success in self-management
  • At least two years of management and customer service experience
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills

  • A demonstrated passion for athletics and social impact
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and “people skills”
  • Patience, stress-tolerance, ability to think quickly, and a proactive work style
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Proficient verbal, written, and computer skills (including Microsoft and Adobe applications)
