Job Summary: 

The Media Director will oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of the media strategies for YEB’s business units including i9 Sports, SafeSplash, School of Rock, and US Sports Camps. They will be responsible for the campaign buys for various marketing channels including paid search, digital static and video ads, connected TV, audio, and print. They will ensure the campaigns align with marketing objectives and reach the target audience effectively by managing media budgets, negotiating with vendors, analyzing campaign performance, and collaborating with creative teams to optimize results.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop media strategies with comprehensive media plans that align with overall marketing goals, including target audience identification, channel selection, budget allocation, and campaign objectives. 
  • Manage the media-buying process by working with media vendors and agencies to secure optimal ad placements, targeting and pricing across different channels. 
  • Allocate budget effectively across different media channels and campaigns, optimizing spending to maximize ROI. 
  • Track key metrics such as impressions, clicks, conversions, and cost-per-acquisition to assess campaign effectiveness and make adjustments as needed. 
  • Analyze campaign data to generate insights and reports for stakeholders, including key performance indicators and recommendations for future media strategies. 
  • Work closely with creative teams, marketing departments, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between creative assets and media plans. 
  • Explore available advertising space on different platforms, comparing pricing and audience reach to find the best options for each campaign. 
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends including emerging media platforms, technologies, and best practices to identify new opportunities for reaching target audiences. 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Media planning expertise with a deep understanding of different media channels, primarily digital
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze campaign performance, and make data-driven decisions 
  • Effectively allocate media budgets across various channels to maximize ROI 
  • Negotiation skills with media agencies and vendors 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Google Ads and Meta Business Suite
  • Proficient in GTM and GA4
  • Familiarity with CRM platform usage for campaign tracking and data management preferred

Education and Experience:

  • 8+ years experience in media planning, buying, and strategy role 
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field
  • Data and analytics certification a plus
